Case Studies

Case Study 1

To me Little Miracles is place where my children can play without judgment being passed on them, where the parents can chat and talk and cry and moan but ultimately support each other. Where both the parents and children can make friends that go on to become their support network to help get them through the tough times because there will be tough times. It is a group where you do not have to attend every week but can come and go so you can give other parents support during the good times and receive support in the bad. It is a place group which provided activities which would be difficult for my son to attend with a standard group for example coach trips where you can take you wheelchair inside the coach and people do not panic when you need to administer oxygen on the coach and you find that the families help each other.  I made the best friends I could ask for via this group.

Case Study 2

Little miracles means I can meet other people who understand the difficulties we face.  They provide lots of fun activities, trips, 24 hour emotional support, financial advice also I get lots of help finding out what I am entitled too - and help filling out forms.  It doesn't matter what walk of life you come from, what additional need your child has - no matter how severe or not severe, everyone is made to feel welcome with no prejudices.  The people who attend the group are just wonderful and a pillar of strength and there is always someone who can offer advice, support or even just a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen and two arms for a hug.  It is an amazing group and would be such a shame if it ever had to stop running as both my girls love it.  Every Monday morning I tell them that we have Little Miracles and they happily clap away.

We love this group!

Case Study 3

Little Miracles has helped me form friendships with people. People who understand what bringing a child with Special needs up means. Friends who don't judge you but are there whenever you need them.

I hope I am even half as supportive to people as others have been to me because you are all wonderful.
It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from because everyone is accepted.
Thanks
